COR x imm Spring Edition - focussing on the essentials

East Westphalia-based seating furniture manufacturer COR is presenting the new products in its range and welcoming guests from Germany and neighbouring European countries at imm Spring Edition in Cologne.

Reduction to the essentials isn’t just one of COR’s elementary design hallmarks, it is also imm cologne’s concept for this year’s Spring Edition. The current imm cologne is a focused event with smaller stand areas presenting the essence of sector news to the trade public over just a four-day period. In other words, it’s a trade fair with a close and convenient design.

For the first time, and on a one-off basis, guests will have the opportunity to experience the advantages of open-plan stands in a summery atmosphere, which makes it easy to gain a quick overview. There is also plenty of space for communication at the stands, in the aisles and on the boulevard – hopefully in sunny weather. “In our experience a large number of Belgian, Dutch and German-speaking furniture retailers don’t travel to Milan and prefer to have a trade fair in Cologne. That’s exactly who Spring Edition is targeting,” said Leo Lübke. “imm cologne always has been and always will be a charming order event and we’re going to be seeing that again in June.”

COR has a 75 m² stand where it is showcasing a compact selection of products including Nook and Shrimp23, which are new to the range, and anniversary classic Trio with its distinctive colour concept. The Nook sofa by Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub is a sculptured seating space designed for well-being and relaxation. Nook has a floor-hugging, sculptural form that almost appears to hover and exudes an air of futurism. Shrimp, an easy chair also designed by Jehs+Laub in 2011, has been upgraded. Although the seat shell’s iconic design has been retained, the cushion now has a softer design with more volume. It features a loose cushion in the bentwood shell, which sits on a new frame with swivel and rocking function.
