Brand Alliance this year once again highlights the value of genuine design originals.
“What makes an original an original?” This was the question asked by the alliance of leading international interior brands at imm cologne 2020 – thereby initiating a discussion on design in the public domain. In 2020, Gira teamed up with Artemide, COR, Dornbracht, Hewi, Thonet, Walter Knoll and USM to sensitise consumers and professionals to the value of genuine design originals.
“We took this initiative in order to show what makes originals unmistakable, how they hold their own against short-lived trends and what distinguishes them from the innumerable counterfeits,” explains Torben Bayer, Head of Brand Development and Marketing at building technology specialist Gira.
