COR is the Latin word for heart, and manufacturing furniture is most certainly a matter that is very close to our hearts. You can see this in, among other things, the high-quality raw and durable materials we use: indigenous beech wood and hardwearing fabrics. The best leather from happy cattle from the Alpine region. High-quality foams for upholstered seating furniture. All prerequisites for furniture that stays in top shape for a very long time.

COR is synonymous with reduced, contemporary design. We produce neither those ubiquitous classics that people have long seen more than enough of, nor trendy novelties that no one will want to see the year after next, at the latest. Our furniture designs achieve the feat of appearing fresh and timeless at the same time.

Furniture is not everything in the contract world, but finding the right furniture is essential. COR furniture is made to enhance architecture without dominating it. We see ourselves as a partner to architects – which could be one reason why so many of them choose to go with COR again and again.

There are many office furniture manufacturers, and we have no intention of comparing ourselves with our esteemed colleagues. For more than 65 years, we have been inventing and building cosy seating furniture for rooms in which you immediately feel at home. REGIONAL
COR is a true family business – in two senses. Our brand is still managed by the same family that founded our company in 1954. We still develop and produce our furniture in 33378 Rheda-Wiedenbrück. You may find that pleasantly down-to-earth, but above all it is a guarantee of quality. Anyone who decides to buy furniture from COR is buying furniture that has been manufactured in the neighbourhood, so to speak, and in accordance with the highest working and environmental standards.
SUSTAINABLE
We are already making furniture in the second generation, and we do think in terms of generations. Sustainability is therefore built into our furniture practically ex factory. We manufacture it in a socially and environmentally responsible way, using regional raw materials and materials that are just as good for the climate and the environment as they are for their future users. Anyone who opts for COR is setting a sustainably positive example for themselves and for their company.
CARBON-NEUTRAL
Naturally, carbon dioxide is also created in our furniture production, but we do everything we can to keep our ecological footprint as small as possible, with solar power generation and our own wood-fired power plant where we burn our wood waste. We compensate for the unavoidable residual CO2 emissions through certified climate-protection projects. Since 2020, COR furniture has been manufactured in a completely carbon-neutral way.
SEALED
All COR furniture bears the Blue Angel seal. Our furniture wood comes from sustainable forestry (as indicated by the FSC seal of approval). The Greenguard logo, in turn, certifies that we avoid volatile organic emissions to the highest degree. Our sustainability is signed, sealed and delivered.
