Trio
Everything stays different. Unlimited freedom since 1973, with just three simple elements: a seat module, a backrest and a corner backrest. With them, Trio opened up an almost endless range of configurations. More than 50 years on, this master of transformation is still doing exactly that: forever changeable, yet unmistakably itself.
Maximum mobility was the credo of the Swiss designers Franz Hero and Karl Odermatt of team Form AG when they created the original model of the upholstered furniture Trio in 1973, whose laid-back, loungy landscapes were a stark counter-design to the hard armrests and rigid backs of their time.
Nothing is obligatory, everything is possible: Trio can be put together just the way the ownder likes it.
Other things can be changed time and again: like the combination of stool, backrest and corner rest to create all kinds of shapes, and the cover fabric. Here, Trio is sporting one of its nine exclusively woven birthday garments in a plush brass yellow.
Much about Trio has remained unchanged over all these decades — such as the high-quality materials, the intricate workmanship, the intelligent interior that houses a real slatted frame, and the clear edge with the distinctive double seam.
