Rheda-Wiedenbrück, 19 October 2026. Cologne, October 2024: When Werner Aisslinger met Leo Lübke at Orgatec, he shared his vision for a ‘multichannel chair’ offering ergonomic comfort and a relaxed, spacious seating experience, equally suited to private dining and conference settings. Leo Lübke immediately recognised the potential of the concept, setting in motion an intensive development phase. Now COR is ready to unveil the result at Orgatec 2026.
Fluidity meets femininity
Floy has an almost monumental presence, with its oversized seat offering exceptional comfort and ample room to relax. Flowing organic lines and harmonious proportions give the chair its distinctive appeal. With its taut outer upholstery and soft, relaxed cushioning, a wide choice of fabrics and colours, options with or without armrests and three different frame designs, Floy is remarkably versatile. Its shape feels somehow familiar, yet refreshingly new. Horizontal seams accentuate the chair’s width and make the backrest appear lower, lending Floy its distinctive signature look.
“The challenge was to reconcile ergonomics and design. A great deal of time was devoted to getting the proportions right. We worked in our Berlin studio on the production of several seat shells using 3D printers while the COR development team in Rheda-Wiedenbrück developed a production-ready interior, translating the shell into a steel and seating foam construction in the required level of quality. It was a complex process, with both teams working in parallel,” recalled Werner Aisslinger.
A perfect balance of space and comfort
Floy has a fresh, timeless aesthetic that incorporates an element of playfulness into interior spaces. Maintaining a comfortable distance from neighbouring seats, it creates a sense of personal space even in group settings. With its soft, floral character, the chair brings a homely feel to the conference table, creating an inviting atmosphere for engaging discussions.
“As a product designer with extensive experience in interior design projects, Werner Aisslinger has a keen sense of what the market is missing and which products work best in different environments. Although I have known and admired him for many years, we had never collaborated on a COR seating design project until now. With this design, everything simply fell into place. Floy has come along at just the right time, making it an ideal addition to our contract furniture range,” said Leo Lübke, Managing Partner of COR.
When the designer becomes the user and teams up with a manufacturer that brings expertise and experience to the table, the result is a natural flow – or rather, Floy.
