Mission Open Space

Individual design with a collective mission: COR contract furniture conquers space. The new model variants for creative open-space concepts can be specified in a variety of ways and will be available in stores from 2021.

With the Floater sofa and easy chair range, designer Pauline Deltour has developed the first work-lounge concept for COR. The design comes with a system: Solid wood frames are combined with an upholstered outer shell, seat and back cushions, as well as boxes, shelves or racks. Currently, the range of individual configuration options has been expanded to cover all functional areas relevant to open spaces. The new desk is already convincing as a soloist, and in spatial arrangements it acts as a team player in conjunction with a new extension panel. Lounge modules with sofas or easy chairs (communication zones) can now all combined with desk areas (work zones) throughout. The basic configurations of this concept solution have an S or U shape. Similar to a construction kit, different panels function as links, connecting several modules to each other. In addition to the individual furnishing of the interior areas with table tops or stools, the exterior areas can also be equipped with various functions. Tables, flat screens or coat hooks can be added on with ease, with extra stools creating temporary seating for presentations or discussions. Versions: The standard height of the add-on panel is 90/120 cm, and further height increases up to 180 cm are available as standard. The upholstered outer shell of the desk is available in heights of 86/133 cm and can be fitted with veneered table tops, powder-coated MDF panels or HPL panels. Two electrical connections are provided, and work materials disappear in an optional swivel drawer. The higher model variant also includes a shelf and can be planned with indirect lighting.

For communicative hot spots: Drop bar tables

Looking for contract furniture that can do a lot in a small space? The Drop furniture programme by Pauline Deltour provides the solution in the form of horizontally or vertically oriented "hotspots" within the room. From the basic design of a mobile stool, which combines radii of tubular steel with an upholstered core, further developments with slender upholstered benches and bar stools have been created. Correspondingly, the model family has now been extended to include a bar table in the same design language. Table tops and metal frames in homogeneous colours underline the purist aesthetics of the design. Versions in contrasting colours allow individual highlights. The bar tables are available in a height of 110 cm, the radius is 80 cm.

A stimulating sitting sensation: Alvo bar chair

Long-lasting sitting comfort and relaxation, even at the counter or bar? The lushly upholstered Alvo chair by the designer duo Jehs+Laub has now been further developed and designed as an extremely comfortable bar chair for the high art of sitting. Corresponding to the fine, slightly springy outer shell, the seat has a 71/82 cm high metal frame that is as delicate as it is stable. You can then lean back comfortably on a voluminous cushion. Thanks to a triple fold, there is no need for conventional single cushions for the seat, back and armrests. If this puts you in mind of wings, then you are sitting in exactly the right place. Alvo bar chairs can be swivelled and are optionally equipped with a return mechanism. Versions: Plastic seat shell in white/black, metal frame with powder coating in white/black, covers in all fabrics and leathers of the COR collection.

Brilliantly equipped: new variants for Level tables

Instead of a static table model, Uwe Fischer has developed Level, a height-adjustable worktable. The worktop rests on trestles – a lightweight-looking construction that signals mobility. Level is to be found wherever a functional table is needed and it can be combined with benches, chairs or bar stools. Open space concepts focus on transparency. And yet there are moments when people prefer to work alone, or at least slightly shielded from their surroundings. The new, angled upholstered panels in 82x53 cm width and 50 cm height create such retreats. Mounted on the right or left side of the tabletop, they create an aesthetic privacy screen – beautiful and discreet. Available in all fabrics and leathers of the COR collection.
