To experience COR design in all its facets, visit the COR Apartment at Via Solferino 11 during Milan Design Week, where materiality, comfort and spatial impact are united to create immersive living environments. The rooms of the historic apartment are decorated in light shades of beige, grey and soft pink, inviting visitors to experience seating design that will remain relevant for decades to come.

Traditional premium brand and family-run company COR is taking advantage of the week-long design event to stage the latest additions to its portfolio in inspiring room settings. Alongside the updated versions of Siwa sofa and the Cordia armchair, COR is also unveiling the comprehensively updated Mell bench and the new Kagu armchair – the latest addition to the Kagu seating range.
Kagu armchair – an expression of timeless elegance

With its clear, sculptural design language, the Kagu armchair sets itself confidently apart. The carefully proportioned wooden frame, available in ash or oak, lends the piece a sense of natural warmth and tactility. Every detail has been meticulously considered: slender, tapered legs that are seamlessly integrated into the armrests, a stabilising central cross and the visible wooden frame as a defining aesthetic feature. The upholstered seat is sprung to provide a comfortable resting place that is softly contoured yet dimensionally stable.
In living spaces, reading corners or as an elegant addition to a prestigious interior, the Kagu armchair embodies quality of life and exacting design standards. It brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary living aesthetics, uniting perfectly formed details with clean lines. Kagu is a genuine invitation to linger while making a confident and elegant statement in any interior.
The Kagu collection is completed by a side table available in three sizes, whose design echoes the wooden frame of the armchair. The tabletop is available in either stone or a lacquered finish.
Cordia26 armchair – a subtle design highlight in sophisticated living environments

The Cordia armchair, designed by Jehs+Laub in 2012, has been given an extensive design update. As Cordia26, the armchair still swivels and is equipped with an optional tilting mechanism, yet it features a new streamlined silhouette. The narrow armrests, the comfortable, anatomically designed seat cushion and the two-part back cushion support relaxed yet upright sitting, making the armchair ideal for extended conversations, focused reading or stylish lounging. The defining feature of the Cordia26 is the refined balance between poise and comfort. The Cordia26 armchair effortlessly blends into a wide variety of living spaces – both as a stand-alone piece in a minimalist loft apartment or as part of a large living room seating ensemble. With its sculptural appearance it never dominates, yet despite this discreet presence and subtle aesthetic, it is full of character.
