After the long pandemic-related absence from the trade fair scene the premium brand is delighted to present its new designs at the COR apartment (interior design: kräling_lübke, styling: Irina Graewe). “Milan is a global centre of design that never fails to inspire, so it’s really exciting to be able to create an oasis of comfort here. Our apartment differs from the big trade fair booths because it’s cosy and allows us to show a more intimate side of COR. We’ve divided up the showroom into home-like functional areas that demonstrate the versatility of our furniture products and their use,” said Managing Partner Leo Lübke.
Visitors can experience new living worlds in five different rooms. A clearly-defined colour mood in the historical architectural setting emphasises the significance of the current designs. Each of the rooms is based on an idea or a function. For example, the pentagonal, terracotta-coloured Conic table – a one-off design manufactured for Milan – is designed for people to enjoy each other’s company. The Noto easy chairs have been used to create little communication islands. In the lounge area, which has a muted colour scheme, the Jalis21 sofa is the perfect place for good conversations in a relaxed setting. In contrast, the work area with its bright petrol colour scheme and Floater desks encourages industriousness and concentration. The reading room with its books and the Jalis Lounge chairs is an oasis of peace. A marine colour story with delicate ultramarine accentuation has a calming effect that invites visitors to linger.
Despite the wide variety of colours and dynamics of the exhibition space, you sense the home-like atmosphere the moment you walk through the door. It all fits together into a COR experience world with intense yet muted colours and exciting, modern and elegant shading that is contemporary without being trendy. Naturally, the new products in the range are all on display. Noto – by French designer Pauline Deltour – will be presented to the public at large for the first time at Fuorisalone. The side-panel chair and the easy chair both have a beautifully simple and elegant design. Yet despite this reduced design they provide excellent seating comfort. The Jalis21 sofa and Jalis21 lounge chair were designed by the Stuttgart-based design atelier Jehs+Laub. They are the evolution of the Jalis collection with the oriental-inspired seat cushions, which has been part of the COR portfolio since 2010.
