COR and Kettnaker are exhibiting together at Destination Design in Eindhoven

Seating furniture manufacturer COR is showcasing new products and product enhancements at a joint stand with system furniture manufacturer Kettnaker in the Klokgebouw halls at Destination Design. The trade show takes place in Eindhoven from 18 to 20 January 2026.

Rheda-Wiedenbrück, 13 January 2026  East Westphalia-based premium brand COR is exhibiting for the first time at the prestigious Destination Design trade show in Eindhoven, marking an important milestone in its international brand development journey. This participation reflects the family-run company’s conscious focus on the international design scene as it expands its presence in other European countries.

COR’s trade fair highlights at the joint stand with Kettnaker include the extensively updated Mell bench, as well as the Jalis and Siwa sofas – all seating furniture items that are setting new benchmarks in both the home living and the contract furniture segments. The futuristic-looking Echo side table – the outcome of COR’s first collaboration with up-and-coming young designer Lukas Heintschel – will also be on display. Trade visitors and design enthusiasts can look forward to innovative aesthetics, expert craftsmanship and flexible, modular concepts.

COR’s debut at Destination Design highlights its expanding role as a forward-looking player in the European furniture industry, offering visitors a new way to experience the future of seating.

Echo – a minimalist side table
Design: Lukas Heintschel

The softly upholstered, fabric- or leather-covered cylindrical base of the Echo side table opens upwards like a flower – crowned with a round table top. Framed with a distinctive fabric border, the table top – optionally in undercoated glass or tinted float glass with a reflective finish – very easily twists off the base for cleaning or repair work. A choice of upholstery materials expands the scope for interior design. It defines the impact of the side table, which can either form a harmonious unit with the seating furniture or provide an exciting contrast to it. The side table exudes architectural elegance and combines COR’s strengths in upholstery craftsmanship. Its upwardly curving lines convey a sense of lightness and tranquillity. Reflecting COR’s DNA, Echo has an intrinsically organic design.

Mell bench: minimalism meets craftsmanship
Design: Jehs+Laub

On the outside, the Mell bench (derived from mellow) has a defined edge and a straight back, emphasised by the wide felled seam. Inside, on the other hand, it features gently rounded back cushions and a separate seat cushion. The streamlined tubular steel frame with rounded internal angles further emphasises the linear design. Overall, the bench has an aesthetically timeless sofa-like look with a welcoming and cosy vibe. The new elements transform the bench into a universal seating system. They can be arranged in “S” configurations, circles or semicircles, lined up infinitely to create elongated benches, or used in combination with low or high backrests and armrests, or none at all. With its overhang element and storage shelf, as well as the Mell bistro tables, it is the ideal solution for waiting areas, educational institutions or offices – complemented by optional under-table sockets with magnetic cable guidance.

Siwa sofa – a tribute to the organic design language of nature
Design: Altherr Désile Park

The upright back of the Siwa sofa also curves inwards, creating a sensual and inviting effect that hints at a warm embrace. Seams that are never completely linear and further emphasise the amorphous body are another design highlight. This is not an example of traditional seating furniture, but a piece of lounge furniture with distinctively elegant design attributes. Siwa is both a social hub and a multifunctional space within a space: perfect for reading, chatting, working, or relaxing. Yet the iconic typology is still functional, striking a balance between object and interior. It provides a space for personal encounters, interaction, resting, relaxation and recuperation. The sofa collection is now complemented by another side table with a tablet on top that can also be placed directly on the sofa if required.

Jalis sofa – space for serenity
Design: Jehs+Laub

Inspired by the oriental art of lounging, the Jalis sofa programme arranges folded cushions in a seamless row for its back and seating. The low-set design and the luxurious cushions invite the user to seek cosy relaxation in the comfort of their own home rather than elsewhere. Elegant decorative stitching – either tone-in-tone or in a contrasting colour – provides additional contour definition. The new recliner element opens up fresh opportunities for designing comfortable, contemporary living spaces that can be adapted to various thoughtfully planned, individual and captivating interior design concepts. There is no better place than this to be immersed in the tales of the Arabian Nights, which, as we all know, never truly end.

Kagu chair – the essence of modern seating furniture
Design: Jehs+Laub

Its design is a tribute to clarity. Harmonious lines, precise geometries and pared back material usage give the Kagu chair an air of lightness, yet also robustness. The slender wooden legs, which extend up to the armrests and are connected by a central stabilising wooden cross, provide the architectural framework for the seating surface, which appears to float in the frame. Under-seat suspension enhances user comfort and adds movement. The padded shell is clamped into the base frame, where it swings freely. Kagu effortlessly blends into a wide variety of living and working spaces – both as a stand-alone piece in a minimalist loft apartment, as an item of office furniture or as part of a large dining room ensemble. It has a discreet yet distinctive presence and, despite the purposefully subtle aesthetics, it is full of character.
