Rheda-Wiedenbrück, 27 April 2026. The premium brand COR is presenting its seating furniture in the Danish capital of design for the very first time. A carefully curated exhibition concept at Den Frie showcases the three visionary models Trio, Siwa and Kagu, capturing the essence of the family-owned company’s brand DNA.
The classic Trio sofa pays tribute to COR’s rich heritage. Originally designed by the Swiss studio team form ag in 1973, it has remained part of the collection ever since and perfectly exemplifies the company’s design approach: defined, modular, durable, versatile and comfortable. The Siwa sofa has a forward-looking design featuring open, organic forms that break with conventional aesthetics to create a sculptural presence in any interior space. The Kagu armchair embodies the strengths at the heart of COR, translating premium materials, meticulous craftsmanship and exceptional seating comfort into a clear visual statement. Its softly padded shell appears to swing like a hammock within the elegant wooden frame, whose slender legs extend fluidly into the armrests.
COR weaves a multi-layered dialogue between design, space and craftsmanship into a holistic exhibition concept defined by tactile materials, warm wooden surfaces and vibrant colour schemes at Den Frie.
Trio sofa – modular seating comfort

Trio is an intelligent seating concept that can be flexibly and playfully adapted to the lifestyles and preferences of its users. Without the corner rest, the sofa becomes a récamière, and without a backrest, it transforms into a cosy sofa bed. When combined with additional stool elements, it forms a relaxed seating landscape or a generously dimensioned lounging area. The design reflects a young, carefree attitude to life, defined by its modular system and playful adaptability. Countless new configurations can be created using the same elements. Representing an item of casual upholstered seating furniture for unconventional lifestyles, the original 1973 design was so forward-looking that its defining concept of three basic elements, along with details such as the double outer seam, still define the Trio range today. The interior has been modernised with a premium beech wood frame, along with adjusted seat heights and seat depths. Special nonwoven textiles on the undersides of the backrests and armrests ensure they adhere firmly to the cushions. The structural principle remains timelessly modern, with the basic modules of seat element, backrest and armrest. Since they are not permanently connected, new configurations can always be created in just a few simple steps.
Siwa sofa – a tribute to the organic design language of nature

The upright back of the Siwa sofa has soft, curved contours, creating a sensual and inviting effect that hints at a warm embrace. Seams that are never completely linear and further emphasise the amorphous body are another design highlight. Siwa is more lounge furniture than classic seating furniture with its distinctive yet elegant design language. It creates a defined zone within a space and is suitable for a variety of utilisation scenarios – from reading and working to relaxing and communicating. Yet the iconic typology is still functional, striking a balance between object and interior. It provides a space for personal encounters, interaction, resting, relaxation and recuperation. The collection is complemented by an upholstered coffee table and a side table with a tablet on top that can be flexibly placed on the sofa when needed.
Kagu armchair – an expression of timeless elegance

With its clear, sculptural design language, the Kagu armchair sets itself confidently apart. The meticulously dimensioned wooden frame, available in ash or oak, lends the piece natural warmth and excellent tactility. Every detail has been carefully considered: slender, tapered legs that are seamlessly integrated into the armrests, a stabilising central cross and the visible wooden frame as a defining aesthetic design feature. The upholstered seat shell is sprung to provide a comfortable resting place that is softly contoured yet dimensionally stable.
In living spaces, reading corners or as an elegant addition to a prestigious interior, the Kagu armchair embodies quality of life and exacting design standards. It brings together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary living aesthetics, uniting perfectly formed details with clean lines. The Kagu collection is completed by a side table in three different sizes that formally echoes the wooden frame of the armchair. The table top is available in a stone or lacquered finish. Kagu makes a confident and elegant statement in any interior.
