The COR Salon at Milan Design Week

From 9 to 14 April, the premium furniture brand made in Germany will present forward-thinking interior design with new creations from international designers. The 2019 collection, presented exclusively for Milan in the COR Salon, was created in cooperation with Jörg Boner (Switzerland), Jehs+Laub (Germany) and Metrica (Italy).

The internationally renowned manufacturer of high-quality seating and upholstered furniture has been present in Milan since the 1980s, and from 9 to 14 April 2019 for the first time with a temporary salon in the Circo Solferino in Brera. Its historical architecture focuses on innovative interior design, while the COR Salon for Milan combines tradition and future. Continuity in favour of progressive developments in furniture design has characterised the relationship with international designers for almost seven decades, and in 2019 the result is particularly fruitful: with the new furniture ranges Nenou, Alvo and Avalanche, Jörg Boner, Jehs+Laub and Metrica have interpreted the manufacturer's passion for innovative design, high-quality materials and exquisite workmanship with their own design-cultural approaches. As an aesthetic triad, they shape the modern and elegant interior of the salon. As in a hall of mirrors, the high-quality, handcrafted exhibits are presented from multiple perspectives, and variety also prevails in the colours and materials: Burgundy, Cocoa Brown, Signal Red and Night Blue for walls and fabrics alternate with pastels and natural shades for wood and leather. Aperitovo

The upholstered sculptures from Nenou, designed by Jörg Boner, which can be seen for the first time anywhere in the world, offer plenty of food for thought right from the start. How imagin-atively the modern archetypes in the shape of water lilies can be configured is revealed by the spatial treatments that follow. Bench, easy chair, stool, small and oversized poufs divide and structure the area to form communicative islands or seating landscapes.

Banchetto

Originating from southern Europe, joie de vivre and conviviality are being drawn to the table worldwide. The new Alvo chair provides lasting seating pleasure. The aesthetically pleasing and comfortable furniture, designed by Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub, has a delicate round plastic shell and is fitted with a sumptuous cushion. The table companion Delta comes in a square format and is made of solid wood while remaining beautifully filigree. Design: Peter Kräling.

Salone nel Salone

Avalanche, the quick-change artist with an aesthetic profile, is making its debut in 2019 as comfortable upholstered furniture with fine functions to cater for every situation. The elegant creation from Milanese designers Metrica has its own "salon within a salon". The upholstered furniture can be transformed effortlessly for relaxing or reclining, and for a twosome this works particularly well on the voluminous Love Chair, which is of course shown in its own separate booth.
