Autumn 1954: the Upholstered Furniture Factory is founded by Leo Lübke in the name of his son Helmut Lübke and his Highness Prince of Bentheim Tecklenburg.
Michael Bayer designed an upholstered seating unit which consisted of 5 elements and therefore was called "QUINTA". It was the first modular programme of this kind, allowing for entirely new and flexible interior design.
In 1964 F. W. Möller designs the greatest success in COR’s history: Conseta, one of the world’s first modular furniture programmes.
1969 sees the start of COR’s highly productive relationship with designer Peter Maly. A relative unknown at the time, he designs the seating group Trinom.
In the seventies Orbis, designed by Luigi Colani, becomes one of the most successful furniture models of the day.
1972 sees the arrival on the scene of Trio from Schweizer team form ag. In 1997, 25 years after the first design sketch, the same designers produce a “new” Trio that success - fully recaptures those glory days.
Zyklus, design Peter Maly, in 1983 people could hardly believe their eyes; in 1984 it was voted Furniture Piece of the Year; these days it is well-established as a modern classic.

Arthe, designed by Prof. Wulf Schneider & Partner, is awarded the red dot for High Design Quality, the highest honour the North Rhine-Westphalia Design Centre has to bestow. The company now has over 200 employees.
COR and interlübke open the first joint showroom in Hanover. In this flagship store the two brands are exclusively presented in a new ambience. The Scroll model wins the red dot: product design award shortly after its première at the international furniture fair in Cologne.
A year of anniversaries. COR turns 50 and Conseta 40 during this year. The classic line receives the interior in novation award in the category “best classic”. Another COR interlübke Studio opens in Berlin.
After winning once in 2004, COR again receives the Design Award of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The COR Award for journalists will be given at the IMM in Cologne for the first time.
COR and interlübke open another exclusive flagship store in a prime location in Paris. COR will supply the Trinus recliner armchair for three new AIDA cruise ships, 1,800 chairs in total. Helmut Lübke, who managed COR until 1994 and then owned it jointly with his son Leo as a partner, died on 3rd October aged 70 during a trip to Africa. Leo Lübke takes over management of the sister company interlübke.
After a construction period lasting three years, the COR und interlübke Haus is opened in Wiedenbrück. On an area covering 3,000 m² it contains the exhibitions of COR and interlübke as well as the COR collection.
The sitting-lounging-reclining furniture LAVA designed by Studio Vertijet received the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany in Silver.
Conseta, Shrimp easy chair and Quant dining chairs are going on board the MS EUROPA 2, which sets sail for Hapag-Lloyd Cruises starting in May 2013. A total of 251 suites with 681 items of furniture from COR.
Happy birthday: CONSETA is turning 50! In January 1964, a simple yet ingenious furniture design was introduced to the professional world - in 2014, CONSETA is one of the sofa classics worldwide. Loyalty endures: COR reaches its 60th year and Conseta turns 50. In Munich a new COR interlübke Studio opens.
