Rebirth of nature – COR’s current colour worlds

The fact that colours trigger certain emotions, motivate us or even influence our mood is nothing new. Time and again, publications are released on this subject in a wide variety of areas. For us, too, studying colour and fabric trends is part of our daily work. After all, our COR fabric collection offers almost 500 upholstery fabrics and leathers which are updated from year to year. So, what are the latest trends? Which colours currently characterise our living environments and radiate a special feel-good atmosphere?

„These days, our customers are once again bolder in their use of colour, and increasingly soft and finely tuned colours are blending into our hit list, which used to be dominated by grey and beige tones. However, there is not just one trend colour, but many different colour worlds, each of which consists of a whole palette of tones and creates very sensual hues“

Leo Lübke, Owner of COR

Colour trends – the current focus is on potent earth and natural tones

In addition to the timelessly classic palette of sand and graphite tones, we are increasingly tending towards shades in curry, ochre or terracotta. Nuances of bordeaux, sage green or ocean blue are also used. Each colour spectrum is versatile, can be used individually and creatively and combined with others. But where does this longing for deep natural colours come from? The warm and sensual tones form an important counterbalance to the globalised, digital development of our society. They create a balance to reduced forms and digitally clean surfaces. They express a longing for familiarity, security and safety. They convey positive emotions and well-being while grounding us and creating harmony. In their own way, colour trends are a reflection of the zeitgeist.
