Poise made to lean into. “Come into my arms” seems to be the message from this armchair, with gently curved sides reaching invitingly towards you. And once you sit down, that sense of being comfortably enclosed is immediate. A generous seat, softly rounded cushion and high, angled backrest provide support in all the right places. Designer Uwe Fischer gives Roc a compact swivel base for stability, while keeping the chair surprisingly light and easy to move around the room, towards the seating area, a reading lamp, the window or simply to admire it from behind. Leather on the outside, fabric on the inside: Roc demonstrates how contrasting materials can work together to create a harmonious whole.
Already an egg-sample of consummate comfort.
It is not easy to describe the shape of the small ROC stool: oval like an egg, yet tapered downwards, and on top of that a surface that is not horizontal but discreetly curved upwards. Of course, instead of guessing, you can simply take a seat, put your feet up on the stool and enjoy its perfectly shaped cosiness.
