Start spreadin' the news: COR and interlübke in New York
"If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere!" In other words: succeed in New York and the world is your oyster. Furniture from COR and interlübke in Germany is to be found in all countries, including the USA. Starting on May 17, 2010 these two manufacturers are running a small but exquisite studio at Domus Design Collection on Madison Avenue. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication – the people behind ddc Domus Design Collection prefix their activities with a quotation from Leonardo da Vinci. This is the place where the internationally renowned furnishing specialists meet the German brands COR and interlübke, whose purist living and bedroom collections dispense with all superfluous flourishes. They gain their beauty and their merit from an unmistakable design, the best materials and the perfect interplay of their composition. This instantly becomes apparent when looking in one of the windows on Madison Avenue, where the new models for 2010 – interlübke's revolutionary wardrobe system reef and COR's Orient-inspired upholstered furniture group JALIS – entice visitors inside. On the ground floor, the two manufacturers are provided with 160 m² of exhibition space for the presentation of two contemporary, deluxe living scenarios. The high, spacious rooms form the ideal stage for the presentation of the new models (cube X and YUCA), as well as up-and-coming or established furniture classics such as SINUS, CONSETA and the wardrobe system S07. "Our studio in New York is the best base in the USA when it comes to reaching the East Coast", explains Managing Partner Leo Lübke. "In these regions we have our target groups and well-established customer relations that we want to build on." The opening takes place at 6 p.m. on May 17, 2010. The invitation contains the text: "Celebrate the Launch of the COR interlübke Studio New York". To be continued.
The locationMadison Avenue, situated between Fifth and Park Avenue, is one of the world's most exclusive malls. Everything that the aesthete's heart desires is to be found here: haute couture, jewellery, art and antiques, as well as elegant hotels and company headquarters with spectacular architecture. ddc is regarded as a leading institution and source of inspiration for contemporary living and international furniture design, and as a showcase for the top brands. The three-storey, expansive building with its large shop window areas presents all styles, from design classics to the (at times audacious) modern.
