Its pattern resembles Oriental ornaments which translate the concept (resting on cushions) into textile design while still providing a modern interpretation. This is achieved by employing an imitated stitching technique. It is the result of a complex weaving process which captures the repeating pattern directly in the fabric.
The artistic effect: depending on the viewing angle and incidence of light, the interplay of the ornaments changes and the fabric almost appears to be three-dimensional.
